• The Central IT Support Helpdesk located in the Morgan Library can provide suggestions, downloads, and support for software.
  • RAMtech stocks a wide selection of various software applications from providers such as Adobe, Microsoft, IBM, and more. Hardware and computers are also available for purchase at their store located in the Lory Student Center.

Office 365 – Microsoft Office

  • All students may download and install—free of charge—the full version of Microsoft Office, on up to five computers, for as long as they are students at CSU.
  • Faculty and staff members can also download and install the full version of Microsoft Office on up to five personal computers.

Programs & Devices:

Personal Computers:

  • You can install this software on up to five computers.
  • Windows users get Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Lync and InfoPath.
  • Macintosh users get Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Lync is optional and is available in the Office365 download portal.

Mobile:

  • iPad, iPhone, Android phone, Windows phone can access Office Mobile apps: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Other Information:

  • If you are a student at CSU, you can download and use this software as long as you are enrolled as a student. Upgrades are handled automatically.
  • If you are a faculty or staff member, you can install this software on up to five personal computers. A different mechanism is in place for CSU-owned computers to be configured with Microsoft Office. Please work with your college or department IT staff to set that up.

Desktops & Laptops:

  1. Log-in to the Office365 portal
  2. Username is: ename@colostate.edu — use your eID password.  o365 sign in screen
  3. Click PC & Mac 
  4. To download and install Office on your computer, click ‘Install’ and follow the remaining prompts. You may be asked if you want to run or save a Setup file. Click Run.

iPhone, Android, Windows Phone

  1. Log-in to the Office365 portal
  2. Username is: ename@colostate.edu — use your eID password.
    (you’ll have to type in the ‘@colostate.edu’ part to let Microsoft know about your connection to CSU)
  3. Click Phone & Tablet
  4. Follow the instructions for your device to finish installation.
