Your instructors may be recording class sessions for you and giving you the links to those in Canvas or via email, etc. Those sessions may be in the form of recorded “Teams Meetings” which are saved in Microsoft OneDrive for you to view and consume. This section is for you.

How to log in to a recorded Teams meeting saved to OneDrive if you have the link

Accessing recorded meetings requires a login.

  1. Click a recorded-meeting link posted in Canvas, to a web page, or delivered via e-mail.
  2. You will be prompted to log in to access the recorded video. Enter your eName/NetID as
  3. Enter your password and click “Sign In.”
  4. You will be directed to the Microsoft OneDrive website and the recorded meeting will play in your browser. You can use the video controls accessible by hovering over the video to start and stop the recording or to adjust settings as needed.

Does it matter if I’m an @Rams (Google Apps) user?

No! If you get a recorded-meeting link, you will log in the same way – see other sections on this page for instructions.

What web browser should I use?

We recommend using Chrome to access Teams. Optionally, you can use the downloadable Teams client software program for PC or Mac.

What’s the difference between “Teams” and “OneDrive”?

Microsoft OneDrive is an Enterprise Sharing service where people in an organization can upload, view, and share content securely. You can share recordings of classes, meetings, presentations, training sessions, or other videos that aid your team’s collaboration. More information about OneDrive

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration and chat platform designed to simplify group work; it integrates with other Microsoft services and allows users to access shared files and calendars, do collaborative editing, and experience easy switching between voice, video, and text chat. Individual teams can be created with various users; inside a team different channels can be created, which are hubs for threaded conversations.

Can I use Teams?

Anyone with a CSU eID/NetID can use Teams. You can access it via the Office 365 portal in a web browser, or via the Teams client for desktop or mobile devices. You do not need to belong to a Team to use the chat, meeting, video conferencing, or file-sharing features.

How do I access Teams? – for Google/Rams users and for O365 users

The best and most compatible way is the web app, through a browser (instructions below). Also available: a client program installed on a computer, and a mobile app.

  1. Open your web browser (Google Chrome is recommended)
  2. Navigate to
  3. At the sign in box, enter your username as (if your NetID is camtheram, enter and click “Next”
  4. Enter your password and click “Sign In”
  5. Once signed in, click the “Teams” icon. If you don’t see it in the section of app icons, click the “All Apps” icon and select Teams from the list of apps
  6. You will be presented with the Teams app

Can’t see the Calendar icon?

If you only have @Rams (Google) email, you don’t have an Office 365 email account or calendar. Since Teams uses a person’s outlook calendar, it won’t show you the calendar icon.

  • You can still view lectures and join office hours using the link(s) your professors provide
  • Or, you can switch your CSU email account to Office 365. The switch is permanent, but you get to keep your old @Rams account as an extra. Read more about this switch at

On Mobile?

Android and iOS tablets and phones may see a message from Teams to download the Teams app from your app store. We have found that on mobile, the Teams app does work better if you can install it. Click the appropriate link when prompted.
